Your information, with fewer surprises

This notice explains the information involved in reading the site and preparing or sending an enquiry.

Who this notice concerns

Riddle Garden Range is the independent information website at riddlegardenrange.garden. For privacy questions or requests about correspondence, contact [email protected]. This notice covers this website, not a separate garden, event operator, email provider or external site.

Reading the website

The pages are static and do not require an account. The site’s own page scripts do not include advertising trackers, analytics services or social-media embeds. Images, styles and scripts are requested from this site rather than an external image or font service.

Ordinary requests to a web host necessarily involve technical information such as an IP address, requested address, browser information and request time. Hosting infrastructure may process or log that information for delivery, security and fault diagnosis. Do not treat this site as an anonymous communication channel. This notice does not promise a particular infrastructure log-retention period.

The enquiry preparation tool

Typing into the contact form does not submit your details to us. The tool validates input and creates a plain-text draft in the current page. Its script does not send form contents over the network or deliberately save the draft to cookies or localStorage. Your browser may independently retain form values or restore a page according to your settings.

“Copy text” requests access to write the generated draft to your clipboard. “Export .txt” creates a text file for your device. Clipboard managers, cloud clipboard synchronisation, downloads and shared-device access are controlled by your device and browser, not this website. Delete exported files and clear clipboard contents when appropriate.

If you choose to email us

Your email provider and ours will process the message and associated addressing information. We receive whatever you include, such as your email address, preferred name, question and attachments. We use correspondence to understand and respond to the enquiry, handle corrections and address relevant legal or security matters—not to add you to a marketing list.

For ordinary correspondence, the relevant legal basis, where required, is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and maintaining the site. A legal obligation may apply to particular records. Keep messages proportionate: do not send children’s names, exact private locations, medical details, passwords or other sensitive information.

Retention and sharing

Correspondence should be retained only as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, follow-up, security or applicable legal obligations. You may ask us to delete a message. Some material may remain temporarily in provider backups or need to be retained where law permits or requires it.

We do not sell enquiry information. Hosting and email providers may process technical data or correspondence to provide their services. Their locations and safeguards can affect international processing. Do not send information that requires a specialist secure channel through ordinary email.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection to certain processing. Contact the address above, explain the request and provide only enough information to identify the relevant correspondence. We may need proportionate verification. You may also complain to the data-protection regulator that applies to your location.

Children and updates

The planning information is aimed at adult hosts and educators. Children should not send personal information through email enquiries. If you believe a child has shared such details, contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

This notice may change when the site’s functions or processing change. Consult this page and the cookie information for the current explanation.
